Last updated 17 September 2026. These terms govern use of this website. They are not advice on a VA claim, taxes, or benefits.

What FortSource is

FortSource (fortsource.com) is an independent catalog of sourced federal, state, and commercial programs, with links to official apply or booking pages. It is not a VA or DoD website, a law firm, or an accredited Veterans Service Organization.

What FortSource is not

• Not legal, tax, medical, or benefits counseling.
• Not an application, claim, or appeal filed on your behalf.
• Not a complete catalog of every program that exists.
• Not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, or any service branch.

Eligibility on this site is a rough filter from what you type in this browser. The agency that runs a program decides whether you qualify. Always read the official page before you apply.

The catalog

The tagline is the mission, not a warranty of completeness. Rows can be wrong or outdated. Commercial offers and Veterans Day meals change by location and year. County VSO and post directories are partial. The official source controls.

Your use of the site

You may use FortSource for your own personal, non-commercial research. Do not scrape, overload, or misuse the site. Do not use it to impersonate VA, DoD, or FortSource. Do not submit someone else’s sensitive files to us; we do not process claims.

Links to other sites

Apply buttons, locators, Stripe, ZIP lookup, and open data feeds leave this site or load data from other operators. Their terms and privacy rules apply there. We do not control those pages.

Donations

Donations are optional. FortSource is not a 501(c)(3); gifts are not tax-deductible. Payments are processed by Stripe. A donation does not change eligibility, claims, or the catalog, and does not purchase a sponsor listing.

Paid sponsor listings

Veteran-owned businesses may buy a yearly listing on the Sponsors page. That is a paid advertisement. It is not an endorsement, not veteran-owned certification, and not a VA or DoD partnership. Listings are the same size. A click goes to the company’s own website. Sponsor slots are never mixed into federal or state apply tools, perk “official tool” buttons, or the ZIP community directory. We may refuse listings (including claim mills and payday-style lenders). Price is published on the Sponsors page.

Commercial perk partner links

Some company perk rows may include a partner (affiliate) link in addition to the official page. If you use that partner link and later buy or book, FortSource may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We disclose that on the card. VA, DoD, and state veterans-agency apply tools are never affiliate links. A partner link does not change the company’s discount or make us that company.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is. We do not warrant that the catalog is complete, current, or error-free, or that using it will obtain any benefit, payment, or perk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operator of FortSource is not liable for lost benefits, denied claims, missed deadlines, or other losses that come from using or relying on this checklist. Some places do not allow certain limits; in those places, our liability is limited to what the law requires.
